Federal Funding Will Soon Expand The Current Amtrak Map

Amtrak quickly responded with enthusiasm to Biden's plan, with a map and a vision for what an expanded U.S. rail network would look like by 2035. The proposed transformation would mean some 30 new routes, and more trips on 20 existing ones. Unsurprisingly, Amtrak is gung-ho about that prospect. It's published a new map showing just what it thinks could be achieved in the next 15 years, with the potential for over 30 new routes and increased service on more than 20 existing routes.
